We have exactly the same problem with our AV3-400. So far we found out the
following:
Depending on the selection of your solvent topshim will use 1H or 2H. So for
Topshim 3D, where you use a 10%D2O/H2O solvent tosphim will pulse on 1H.
For Topshim 2D, using D2O, Topshim will pulse on 2H. This explains your
observations: the system is not sending 2H rf pulses but 1H is ok.
In our case, we have tried repeatedly a reset of all components without much
success. Pulses on the 2H channel are generated in the 2H/TX board.
We measured the output of this board using an oscilloscope during pulsing on
2H and output much too low. Hence the console is not sending 2H pulses to
the lock-coil during topshim.
Alternatively, you can also check the 2H 90 degree pulse length when pulsing
on the lock channel. We have ordered a replacement for our 2H/Tx
board and I will let you know how this works out. You should also
check the tuning of the lock-channel of your probe.
