Many thanks to everyone who provided specification on the cooling fan. Looks like Bruker uses Y.S.Tech’s FD121225MB 12V DC, 0.29A fan, which is a 2-wire fan. Amazon does have few of them available from individual sellers. I do have concern regarding getting them from Amazon through those individual sellers.

I was able to find two equivalent fans, which I think they will work:

Wathai’s 12V DC fan with slightly high air flow rate: https://www.amazon.com/Wathai-120mm-Pressure-Brushless-Cooling/dp/B07Z1WVLM6/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1R83EX9ZR2563&keywords=wathai+120mm&qid=1659978557&s=electronics&sprefix=wathai%2Celectronics%2C224&sr=1-9

Newark Electronics has ADDA’s AD1212HB-A71GL, which has the same specification as Y.S.Tech’s FD121225MB: https://www.newark.com/adda/ad1212hb-a71gl/axial-fan-120mm-12vdc-230ma/dp/58P0851?st=12v%20dc%20120mm%20fan

I found a NMB’s 4710NL-04W-B30 fan, which was used in older Bruker’s spectrometers, in my stash of spare spectrometers fans. Unfortunately it is no longer in production, as well as 4710KL-04W-B50, these days.

Instead of unsoldering/soldering the wire leads while replacing the fans, I am considering using the following wire nut connectors, which should make things much easier.

Subject: AMMRL: Specification For Cooling Fans In BSMS/2 Fan Tray

Hello,

Can anyone provide some specification for those five cooling fans in the fan tray on top of Bruker’s AVIII BSMS/2 unit? I believe they are 120 mm x 120mm DC fans, but not sure about the DC voltage for them, and other related specification, such as height, flow rate, current rating ….. I might be able to get the equivalent fans from Amazon. I would like to have them on hand before I take the whole BSMS/s unit out from the cabinet. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Best,
Dee
