Hello AMMRLers,
Physics Today just ran an article on the Helium situation.
https://physicstoday.scitation.org/do/10.1063/PT.6.2.20200605a/full/
My situation changed a bit from what is stated in this article when the
vendor, whom the DLA had subcontracted with, offered to continue the
relationship after a long delay in responding to me. I avoided a major
price increase which seemed to be part of becoming a new customer for some
of the other vendors. In a follow up conversation with one of the other
vendors I got the distinct feeling that he was being pushed on pricing by
his management. Another vendor said they needed to get management's
permission to even offer to enter into a contract with a new customer.
I think things are better at this time than they were in the mid spring.
Regards,
Joe
