AMMRL: MSR board on Inova probably dead

Hi all,

After having some issues with getting our console and computer to
communicate (which at one point looked like a ethernet setup and then
corrupt bootfile issue), after moving the system, I had everything up and
running smoothly.

This morning, after finally declaring the recently re-energised system
back in business I put in a sample, locked and when I typed in tn='H1' I
got a system inactive error. Well, I thought, some funny glitch, it was
sitting idle for over a week, I'll just do an su acqproc and away I go.
And then the dreaded red light came back on on the MSR board...

We'd been following the bootup procedure through a serial connection when
getting everything sorted out before, so I took a look to see what was
happening, and I was getting a missing boot file error (the same as when
my bootptab was corrupted). So I decided to do a reinstall of the
software, fixed the /etc/bootptab as had restored operation previously, to
no avail.

Any suggestions? I'm running VnmrJ2.2D and have an INOVA console (ca 2004)
(we had had 4.2 on a different computer running with no issues, but this
time when we hooked that computer back up it too was not coming up with an
active VNMRJ).

Thanks a lot,

Tara
