AMMRL: Bruker EDTE

During a probe change we neglected to turn off the probe heater in
EDTE before disconnecting the lead from the probe. EDTE gave an
error message--probe overheating--but that was corrected when we
reopened EDTE. When we reinstalled the probe and entered EDTE, the
probe heater wouldn't take any power. If we were cooling, the VTU
(BVT3200/BCU05) would cool just fine, but the second there was a
power demand, the unit shuts down. If I try temperature control of
the probe with it out of the magnet, it works just fine.

Has anyone out there encountered this problem, and if so, do you know
of a solution? While we are functional, we must run at uncontrolled
ambient temperature.

We have an Avance 500 running Topspin 2.1.1, and this phenomenon is
the same with either of the probes we have.

We have done all the things suggested, to no avail, so are turning to
the users out there.

Thanks,

Robin
