I have a very mysterious problem and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen
this. On our Unity-300 if you use the movesw or movetof commands to change
the spectral window, the acquisition will hang after acquiring nt
scans. The data is not available and the communication with the
spectrometer is dead. There are SCSI reset error messages coming out of
the parent UNIX window about once a minute. The only solution is to
re-boot the Sun (Ultra-10) and reset the HAL and Sum-to-Memory
boards. When the Sun comes back up we can usually re-establish communication.
If I change the spectral window by just assigning variables (sw= , tof= ) I
don't have any problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
