RE: VT-connector on Varian probes

Dear fellows Varian VT probe users,

I am not sure to what extent it is in line with "ammrl" policy but I
would like to start a discussion on the VT connectors on Varian probes.

In our laboratory the connector is a permanent source of troubles on
otherwise excellent probes (and spectrometers).

If you look at the recently introduced AutoX probe, you see the same
obsolete connector used again.

I cannot believe that ours is the only laboratory complaining about
these connectors?
Has anybody found a good solution eliminating the losses of VT control
(besides using rubber bands)?

With the best regards,
Jan Schraml

Dear Varian users,

We have a probe of our Inova 500 where the VT- connector on the probe is damaged
we like to replace the connector does any one know a supplier of these connectors.
