The first thing I did when I arrived at WVU, was to modify their billing system.
We have a script for our VNMRJ instruments and use the JEOL internal to pull the
times and then have actual billing handled by a series of drop-down menus and
autocompletes in Excel (which is what I built). The drop-down menus let me select
which instrument, person/company, and PO number within that company.
We don't currently bill internally, but keep a record of the usage of each
user and the group they belong to in the same excel document.
