Too much metal and vibration to be 16 feet away from a magnet. My old one was in the utility chase 2 floors down where the first concrete floor was available. The chase made it easy to install the Cu lines to the NMR room. You'll also need an H2O drain connection which is easier in a utility chase.

Hi everyone,

I need your help. We’ve been having some issues with the house compressed air, as a result we are buying a Quincy Scroll system in an enclosure the setup is as follows:
2 x 5 HP oil-less scroll compressors/80 gal vertical ballast with desiccant dryer/0.01 micron coalescing final filter/ 1 micron final filter/ 56 db _at_ 1.5 meters/vibration dampening feet

I think it’s a very nice system. It’s so nice they want to place it in my lab, 16 feet away from my 600 MHz.

I have no experience with these setups. Advice please on the proposed siting of the system.

Chuck
