Position Title: Laboratory Instrument Support Engineer

 

Position Description:

Evaluate complex laboratory instrumentation (e.g. NMR, MRI), and execute
necessary changes to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Provide OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) account management, GxP
(Good Laboratory or Manufacturing Practices) compliance and audit
readiness. Work independently and with minimum supervision to manage
the installation, configuration, and operation of instrumentation
including maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Assist in
developing strategies and programs that assure instrumentation and
systems meet or exceed the original manufacturer's specifications
throughout the lifecycle of the instrumentation. The successful
candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Training and Education:

* A BS degree in one of the following is required. Chemistry,
Physics, Engineering, A minimum of 5 years experience would also be
required.
* Equivalent education and experience in engineering or metrology
services will also be considered.

 

Experience:

* Experience in the drug discovery and development process is
preferred

 

Technical Qualifications

* Must have experience with maintenance, troubleshooting and
repair of the one or more of the following laboratory instrumentation or
automation systems:

* Must have experience with NMR systems from Bruker and Varian.

* Experience with Siemens MicroPET systems, GE MicroCT systems,
MRI systems from Bruker and Varian, Rigaku and Bruker x-ray
diffractometer, Siemens RDS111 cyclotron highly desirable

OEM certification a plus
