Dear All,
Thanks everybody for the overwhelming response - my impression is I was
probably the only one who did not have this problem before :) . Now I was
welcomed to the club and will proudly add these dead BLAX power supplies to
my NMR CV :)
Seriously:
Fuses were OK, replacing both BLAX power supplies resolved our problem.
It was pointed by many that old-style power supplies for BLAX (we had ELBA)
are unreliable and die with time, especially at the moment of switching
off/on. Repairs are possible (e.g., see below) but help only temporarily.
It is recommended to refrain from switching amplifiers off at all and check
cooling fans regularly.
It would be interesting to know if new Bruker BLAX power supplies ever die
- any experiences with that?
Best regards and thanks,
Sasha
