Transferring Avance datasets to a PC (windows 9x/NT network) is
straightforward as is evaluating the spectra with at least the 2 programs I
know (Brukers own WinNMR and ACD NMR processor)
These both programs readily rcognize the XwinNMR format.

The best approach is probably (depending on the PC software) to convert
the Bruker data to JCAMP format which is ascii based. There is a
conversion program within the XWIN-NMR suite. Most NMR processing or
display software will read JCAMP,
